ash's abode
Ash's Abode was a group project in collaboration with the University of the West of England, Bristol, through Pearl Academy. The brief was to create a character and design a multifunctional space for them in response to the Work from the Home situation during the quarantine period of Covid-19. Each group consisted of Indian students and students from UWE.
Our character, Ash, was a non-binary person, who needed a space to work and relax, while also being able to have enough space for their Golden Retriever puppy. Their hobbies included painting and reading, which is why a hobby corner was a must.
Ash's preferences included an abundance of natural light paired with dark-hued furniture. This was achieved by adding floor-to-ceiling windows on one side of the room, along with a skylight.
