Balcony Bae was a Live Industry Project in collaboration with Nippon Paints. The brief was to create a space solution utilising Nippon Paint products and incorporating a concept for the same. The idea was to create a solution for a balcony that potential customers could DIY and recreate using their own aesthetics.

The concept for the balcony was Artistic Eden, which reflected the interests of my chosen character, Kala, combining art and biophilia. 

Walls and furniture will be painted with Nippon Paints in an abstract, artistic manner.

The idea was to create a paradise with soft pastel colours from walls and furnishings to bright greens and pinks from bougainvillaea spilling from the balcony railing. The space would have the aesthetic of being something derived from the houses in Italy, but at the same time, colours and textures will ground the space in an Indian Context.

The balcony was designed to celebrate art and art techniques as a whole, as well as embracing nature and sustainability.
